You may make a one time donation on-line or make a long term pledge by contacting the 24/7 ER Campaign. Most pledges for the Campaign will be fulfilled over a five-year period beginning in January 2009.

Donor names will be published in the appropriate category in Campaign and Van Wert County Hospital publications unless the donor requests to remain anonymous.

Naming Rights

There is a legacy opportunity to create a remembrance for a family, loved one, or organization through a long term name association with the new Emergency Services facility and its interior rooms and spaces.

The Van Wert County Hospital has not asked for public support of a construction project in forty years, why now? No other service our hospital provides affects so many of our residents as Emergency Services. The quality of this service in a community helps to determine the quality of life for multiple generations of a community, our community.

The need for an expanded Emergency facility is defined by the needs of our patients. Van Wert County Hospital experienced a 36% increase in the number of visits to the emergency room from 2004 to the present. The expansion allows for additional treatment space which provides a patient and family centered environment. As part of our mission and for our community’s future growth, we ask our greater Van Wert community citizens to partner with us through the 24/7 Emergency Services Expansion capital campaign.

 This expansion is part of our overall mission to meet the needs of our community as an independent community health system. To continue our independence and financial viability we have over 17 million dollars of additional projects planned – all necessary to meet community needs, and support Van Wert as a community that offers the basic services and quality of life needed to grow and prosper. I believe healthcare serves as one of the supports for the economic viability of any community as well as a major influence on the life quality of our residents. We believe this campaign is not only meeting our healthcare needs but also serves as an independent force in the economic future of Van Wert County. 

From the millions of dollars for projects we have planned for the future we find none more compelling than providing life saving technologies for our acutely ill population or providing a safety net to those less fortunate. We ask you to partner with us and your fellow citizens in making our hospital and our community a better place to live and raise our future generations.
